Designed for high‑precision threading on oil pipes, oil‑gas casings and high‑pressure delivery pipelines, this U‑Axis CNC Special‑Purpose Pipe Thread Lathe features a built‑in CNC facing head serving as the U‑axis actuation unit. It works on a unique cutting concept: the workpiece remains stationary while the cutter head rotates to perform machining.
Unlike traditional lathes where the spindle drives workpiece rotation, this machine excels at processing large‑diameter, extra‑long and heavy‑weight steel pipes.

U‑axis linkage with CNC facing head: Servo‑driven real‑time radial feed of the U‑axis during spindle rotation. It enables one‑clamp multi‑process machining of straight pipe threads, taper pipe threads, API oilfield threads, bevels, outer circles, end faces and sealing grooves.
Non‑rotating workpiece: Heavy‑duty and thin‑walled steel pipes are free of torsional deformation after clamping. It greatly reduces spindle load, lowers cutting noise and delivers stable thread accuracy for thin‑wall workpieces.
Front‑and‑rear composite clamping: Combined front multi‑point centering chuck and rear floating steady rest ensure sufficient rigidity for long overhanging pipes, ideal for mass production of 2‑16 inch oil & gas pipes.
Heavy‑duty machine bed with wide hardened guideways and high‑torque main drive: Capable of heavy‑cutting operations on quenched‑and‑tempered steel pipes and alloy steel pipes.
Standard automatic chip conveyor and pipe loading‑unloading auxiliary equipment: Can be connected to form an automatic production line for pipe threading.
