This series of heavy-duty manual lathes are mainly used for various turning tasks. They can turn the end faces, outer circles, inner holes, metric threads, imperial threads, module threads, diametral pitch threads, etc. of various parts. The upper tool holder can be used to turn short tapers alone, and the upper tool holder can be used in conjunction with the longitudinal feed to turn long tapers. In addition, it also has the functions of drilling, trepanning, and boring. The machine tool has high power, high speed, and strong rigidity. Carbide tools can be used for strong turning to process various ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

What is the maximum cutting diameter?

The CW61140E handles a maximum cutting diameter of 1400mm (over bed) and 800mm (over cross slide), while the CW61160E increases this to 1600mm (over bed) and 900mm (over cross slide).


Can the tailstock be adjusted for off-center machining?

Yes, the tailstock base features T-slots for lateral adjustment, allowing offsetting by up to ±1mm for taper turning (angles up to 3°) without reconfiguring the workpiece.


Is the lathe suitable for high-speed cutting?

While optimized for heavy-duty, low-speed cutting (3.15–100 RPM for roughing), it supports moderate speeds (100–315 RPM) for finishing operations on aluminum and brass.


What coolant system is recommended?

A 0.125kW high-pressure coolant pump (10 bar) is included, with a flexible hose and adjustable nozzle to direct coolant to the cutting zone. Water-soluble coolant (5–8% concentration) is recommended for optimal chip evacuation and tool life.
